Space Domain Cybersecurity
Short course (Online) by TSTI · POA · Current
This course examines the practical issues of developing and sustaining a secure cyber environment through all phases of the space mission lifecycle. The course is organized around the SPAce Domain Cybersecurity (SpaDoCs) Framework. The SpaDoCs Framework provides a comprehensive and systematic model for understanding and tackling all critical issues of cybersecurity in the space domain. An examination of the Key Objectives— confidentiality, integrity, availability—provides the foundation for the course. From there, the space domain is examined layer by layer starting from the enterprise layer, then drilling down through mission, system and DevSecOps layers. Threats and vulnerabilities at each layer are highlighted. Finally, first principles and key enablers of cybersecurity are woven into the discussion of system designs and cyber tactics and techniques. These technical threads help frame protection strategies and operational responses to the cybersecurity issues exposed by this course. Course exercises center around practical application of the material to real-world space mission scenarios. This course is designed for cybersecurity professional who want to understand the space domain, or space professionals who want to understand the cyber domain.

SPACE 300 – Adversary Space Capabilities I
Course (Online) by Global Space University · POA · Current
Adversaries rely on a variety of integrated terrestrial, cyber, and space-based capabilities and equipment to deliver information, communications, and global awareness. The rapidly expanding commercial space industry provides low-cost space capabilities and options for nations and actors across the globe to enter a previously inaccessible domain. This course introduces the student to the who, what, and why regarding China, Russia, and commercial space programs. By examining the national objectives of both countries, their current and developing space- based capabilities, and commercial space endeavors, graduates of this course will have a firm understanding of the challenges and opportunities these doctrinally based capabilities pose to US and allied interests. This course examines Chinese, Russian, and commercial industry space capabilities: This course covers Chinese, Russian, and commercial industry space capabilities: National Objectives, Doctrine, and Organization; Space Lift; Space Domain Awareness; Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance; Position, Navigation and Timing; Satellite Communications; and Nuclear Detection, Environmental Monitoring, Missile Warning, and Missile Defense. (Prerequisite: Space 200)

Cyber Security in Space
Seminar (Online) by IEEE · Free · Past
We are in a new era of space systems, more space systems have been launched in the last two years than mankind had achieved prior to that. Space is also congested, contested and competitive; where previously three major Governments were the only active players in space there are now over forty nations and the commercial sector dominates government activities. This talk will cover these issues and propose potential cyber security solutions to help ensure these vulnerable space assets are as resilient as necessary to support our future dependence on space systems
